Recently expanded in 2012, Funtown Splashtown is a famous amusement park in Saco, Maine. Every year, thousands of locals and travelers enjoy its impressive waterslides.
The park includes a 60-feet high slide and dark tunnels. Pirates Paradise welcomes younger guests and offers tube slides and water canons that spray friends and family. To dry up, nothing beats Excalibur, a wooden rollercoaster that has been defying speed since the park’s opening day.
Thrill-lovers can also enjoy a vertical plunge at the top of the Dragon’s Descent. 1,200 lounge chairs are available for visitors to rest before diving in the wave pool.
Funtown Splashtown USA
Since its inception in 1960, Saco’s waterpark has recently had a makeover. As well as the attractions mentioned above, the complex also includes many restaurants and bumper cars. The park welcomes many school and tourist groups that want to discover beautiful Maine. Children under 38-inch tall get in for free if they come with an adult.
