Hot-air balloons brighten the sky of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu! Admire the flying artwork and enjoy concerts of internationally renowned artists at the International Balloon Festival from August 9 to 17.

Over the years, the International Balloon Festival has enhanced its program and activities to please festivalgoers from Quebec and elsewhere, and more than 450,000 visitors converge towards Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu to enjoy the event!

With their eyes on the sky, young and old are impressed by the multi-colored hot-air balloons flying over their heads.

Festivalgoers can enjoy the plethora of activities available. Young ones have fun in the Little+ entertainment zone where makeup artists and hairdressers transform them into funny creatures with original costumes for a one-of-a-kind photo shoot. A foamy obstacle course, sandbox and fishing pool entertain kids all day long. Throughout the festival site, visitors discover the inflatable park, enjoy comedy and theater shows or picnic in the rest areas.

After sunset, another electrifying atmosphere settles on the Loto-Québec stage with local and international artists who know how to make a crowd sway. Different styles of concerts are featured, from Kid Cudi to Marie-Mai, and including Hedley, Louis-Jean-Cormier and Half Moon Run.
