Every summer for now over 30 years, hot air balloons fill the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu sky! Comme see the enormous hot air balloons fly and enjoy musical performances by internationally renowned musicians at the International Balloon Festival, from next August 8th to 16th.

There is no shortage of activities at the festival. Little ones can enjoy themselves at the Les Petits+ children’s entertainment centre, where face painting, dress-up, and cooky hairdos are on the agenda, followed by a fun photoshoot. Children can also take part in the foamy fun obstacle course, play in the sandbox and fish. Inflatable rides, stand-up comedy shows, plays, and picnics in the rest areas are also available for all to enjoy.

When evening falls, the ambiance changes as guests turn their attention to the Loto-Québec stage where local and international artists get the crowd moving and grooving. From rock to pop, there’s something for everyone. This year, artists such as Meghan Trainor, artist behing the hit song “All About That Bass”, Vincent Vallières, Misteur Valaire, Éric Lapointe, Radio Radio, Moist, Sally Folk, Our Lady Peace, Shawn Mendes, Sylvain Cossette, Andrée Watters and many more will be part of the line-up.

International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur Richelieu

This festival is fun for the whole family and is the single biggest hot air balloon collection and event in the country. On the agenda, guests can expect to see 125 colourful hot air balloons take flight, attend musical performances by renowned artists, enjoy activities and entertainment for all. Each year, this international event attracts an average of 450 000 visitors to Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
