Every summer for now over 30 years, hot-air balloons have been invading the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu sky! Come and watch the enormous hot-air balloons float by while enjoying musical performances by internationally renowned musicians at the International Balloon Festival, from August 12 to 20, 2017.

• $20 for 1 regular ticket (ages 16 and +) to attend on a day of your choice ($31.44 value)
• $54 for a family package including 2 regular tickets and 2 youth tickets to attend on a day of your choice ($77.44 value)

There is no shortage of things to do at this festival. In addition to the biggest inflatable games park in America, little ones can enjoy many fun activities. Throughout the site, visitors can attend stand-up comedy shows and theatrical pieces and nibble on a picnic in the relaxation areas.

Once evening falls, attention turns to the four stages, where local and international artists get the crowd moving and grooving. From rock to pop, there’s something for everyone. This year, artists such as Wyclef Jean, Charlotte Cardin, Les Cowboys Fringants, Virginia to Vegas, Scott Helman, The Voice 5 and many more will take to the stage. 

International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur Richelieu

This internationally-renowned festival features the largest collection of hot-air balloons in the country, and is fun for all they family. Each year, it brings an average of 450 000 visitors to Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

• A Memorable Visual Event: Festival-goers watch captivated as nearly 100 balloons float sleepily by. They are magical at night, when they light up like Chinese lanterns. Want to take to the skies yourself? Now’s your chance!
• Celebrating Local and International Talent: From rock to pop, there is music to suit everyone’s tastes, and plenty of comedy too. Each year, musical acts as varied as Paul Piché, Dead Obies or Stéphane Rousseau rock the crowd!
• Family Day Out: Kids can have fun at the entertainment centres such as Piko’s flight school presented by Le Journal de Montréal, while parents will be relieved to find foodtrucks, service centers and other amenities included just for them. New this year is the Pop Challenge: a colorful race of almost 2 km made of twenty gigantic inflated structures and a dozen of funny obstacles, where you will be filmed you in action!
