Symbol of fascinating terror, the shark is one of the most feared creatures of the oceans. Few know it is on the verge of extinction, victim of the merciless predator that is mankind. The “Planet Shark Predator or Prey” exhibition is the perfect occasion to discover almost every aspect of this great carnivorous fish. It features a hundred species to encounter at the Montréal Science Centre with two frozen specimens, a vast collection of jaws and teeth, fascinating facts and a lifesize great white whale. Visitors dig deeper in the environment of this ocean’s ruthless killer, comfortably installed in the Imax Telus theater. Projected onto a giant screen up to seven storeys high, “Great White Shark 3D” uses images from new technology to show these majestic predators in all their ferocity and greatness as well as their important role in the ecosystem.
